Upcoming Road Closures and Detours for DFW Connector Project

Please be advised of the upcoming road closures and detours associated with the DFW Connector Project.  These upcoming closures will affect travel to and from DFW for the foreseeable future.  Please notify your departments and staffs of the roadway changes and probable delays associated with them.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Expect delays in "off-peak times" when most lane closures take place. Off-peak times are Monday through Friday from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM and weekends. All construction activities and closures are subject to weather conditions and schedule changes and will be postponed, if necessary.

8 PM on 1/7 to 6 AM on 1/10     UPCOMING: Full eastbound SH 114 and northbound SH 121 closure at Main Street for setting up the traffic switch to the new median concrete pavement. Click here to see the detour to the eastbound SH 114 frontage road. Once crews are finished switching traffic, eastbound SH 114 and northbound SH 121 will open, and the Texan Trail on-ramp to eastbound SH 114 will close. Traffic will be detoured to Airfield Drive. At 6 AM on 1/10, all lanes and ramps will be open.
2       Westbound SH 114 at Main Street Upcoming full highway closure   1/10/11 - 1/14/11
8 PM to 6 AM each night UPCOMING: Full westbound SH 114 closure at Main Street for bridge work. Click here to see the detour to the westbound SH 114 frontage road. This closure will include a single right lane closed on southbound Main Street Bridge.     
3       East and westbound SH 114 at William D. Tate Avenue     Upcoming full highway closure   1/14/11 - 1/17/11
From 8 PM on 1/14 to 6 AM on 1/17       UPCOMING: East and westbound SH 114 will be closed at William D. Tate Avenue for bridge removals. William D. Tate Bridge will also be closed at this time. Traffic will be detoured to the frontage roads.     
4       Eastbound SH 114 to DFW Airport ramp    Upcoming ramp closure   Continuously from January 7, 2011 to July 2013  UPCOMING: Full ramp closure from eastbound SH 114 to DFW Airport for bridge work. Click here to see the detour through Airfield Drive.  
5       Southbound International Parkway to the southbound DFW Airport service road     Upcoming ramp closure   Continuously from January 7, 2011 to July 2013  UPCOMING: Full ramp closure from southbound International Parkway to the southbound DFW Airport service road for bridge work. 6       SH 26 on-ramp to westbound SH 114       Upcoming traffic switch 1/3/2010
8 PM to 6 AM    UPCOMING: SH 26 on-ramp to westbound SH 114 will be moved to a new on-ramp. Click here to see a map of the new ramp.    
7       Westbound SH 114 west of Main Street    Upcoming traffic switch 1/3/2010
8 PM to 6 AM    UPCOMING: Westbound SH 114 traffic west of Main Street will be moved on to the existing eastbound SH 114 lanes. East and westbound traffic will be separated by a barrier wall. Click here to see a map of the new traffic pattern.     
8       Eastbound SH 114/SH 121 between Main Street and International Parkway   Upcoming traffic switch 1/7/2011 - 1/10/2011
8 PM on 1/7 to 6 AM on 1/10     UPCOMING: Eastbound SH 114/121 traffic between Main Street and International Parkway will be moved to the new concrete pavement in the SH 114/121 median.      
9       Southbound International Parkway        Upcoming traffic switch 1/14/2011
8 PM to 6 AM    UPCOMING: Southbound International Parkway traffic north of the toll gantry at DFW Airport's north entrance will be moved to temporary detour pavement for widening of existing International Parkway lanes.   
10      Northbound and southbound International Parkway access road     Current Continuously until January 5, 2011      Northbound and southbound International Parkway access roads reduced to one lane near the toll booth at DFW Airport’s North Entrance for removal of existing lanes and grading work. One lane will remain open.
11      Northbound International Parkway        Current 1/3/11 - 1/7/11
8 PM to 6 AM each night Single left lane closed on northbound International Parkway between the Toll Gantry and the SH 114 ramp at the DFW Airport's north entrance for grading work. One lane will remain open.       
12      Westbound SH 114 to DFW Airport/northbound SH 121 ramp  Current 1/3/11 - 1/7/11
8 PM to 6 AM each night Single left lane closed on the westbound SH 114 to DFW Airport/northbound SH 121 ramp for grading work. One lane will remain open.      
13      Eastbound SH 114 from FM 1709 to SH 26  Current 1/3/11 - 1/7/11
8 PM to 6 AM each night Single right lane closed on eastbound SH 114 from FM 1709 to SH 26 for removals. One lane will remain open. For a portion of the evening, the SH 26/121 exit will also be closed.      
14      Westbound SH 114 from SH 121 to William D. Tate Avenue  Current 1/3/11 - 1/7/11
8 PM to 6 AM each night Single left lane closed on westbound SH 114 from the SH 121 ramp to Kimball Avenue for detour work. One lane will remain open.  
15      Bass Pro Drive to southbound SH 121 and westbound IH-635 to southbound SH 121 ramps     Current 1/3/11 - 1/7/11
8 PM to 6 AM each night Full ramp closures on southbound SH 121 on-ramp from Bass Pro Drive and a single right lane closed on westbound IH 635 to southbound SH 121 ramp for bridge work. Please check the website daily as the ramp closure schedule may change. Please follow detour to Royal Lane. When westbound IH-635 ramp is closed follow detour to Sandy Lake Road.    
16      Northbound International Parkway        Current 1/3/11 - 1/7/11
8 PM to 6 AM each night Single right lane closed on northbound International Parkway south of the toll gantry at DFW Airport's north entrance for paving work. One lane will remain open.       
17      East and westbound SH 114/SH 121 between International Parkway and Main Street  Current 1/3/11 - 1/7/11
8 PM to 6 AM each night Two left lanes closed each direction on east and westbound SH 114/SH 121 between International Parkway and Main Street for grading work. At the widest point, three lanes will remain open each direction. On January 3, the westbound closure will alternate from two right lanes closed to two left lanes closed.    
18      Westbound SH 114 frontage road at Kimball Avenue        Current 1/3/11 - 1/7/11
8 PM to 6 AM each night Single right and left lane closed alternately on the westbound SH 114 frontage road at Kimball Avenue for detour work. One lane will remain open.       
19      Westbound SH 114 at Kimball Avenue      Current 1/3/11 - 1/7/11
8 PM to 6 AM each night Single right lane closed on westbound SH 114 at Kimball Avenue for detour work. One lane will remain open. The Kimball Avenue off-ramp will also be closed at this time.       
20      Eastbound SH 114 frontage at William D. Tate Avenue     Current 1/4/11 - 1/7/11
9 AM to 3 PM each day   Single right lane closed on the eastbound SH 114 frontage road at William D. Tate Avenue for utility work. One lane will remain open.  
21      Westbound SH 114 frontage road at William D. Tate Avenue        Current 1/4/11 - 1/7/11
9 AM to 3 PM each day   Single right lane closed on westbound SH 114 frontage road at William D. Tate Avenue for utility work. One lane will remain open.
